Services & Rates
Ira Hearshen Music provides professional services including student instruction/mentoring, composition, arranging, and film & television orchestration.
- Student Teaching / Private Instruction: $85 per hour
- Composition, Arranging, Film & TV Orchestration: starting at $250 per hour (final cost based on scope, instrumentation, length, and delivery timeline)
All rates are in USD unless otherwise stated.
Scheduling & Cancellations
Student Sessions (Zoom or In-Person):
- A minimum of 7 days’ notice is required for any cancellation or rescheduling.
- Cancellations made with less than 7 days’ notice will be charged 50% of the session fee.
- Missed sessions without notice will be charged in full.
Composition / Arranging / Orchestration Projects:
- A minimum of 7 days’ written notice is required to cancel a confirmed project.
- If work has already begun, the client is responsible for payment for all completed work to date.
- Deposits are non-refundable once work has commenced.
Deposits & Payment
- Large projects may require a non-refundable deposit (typically 30–50%) before work begins.
- Final payment is due upon delivery of completed materials unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Late payments beyond 14 days may be subject to a late fee.
Accepted payment methods will be communicated at the time of booking.
Revisions
- Composition and arrangement projects include one reasonable revision round unless otherwise specified.
- Additional revisions may be billed at the hourly rate or agreed project rate.
Delivery & Timeline
Project timelines are estimated and depend on scope, complexity, and client responsiveness. Delays caused by late client feedback or material delivery may affect completion dates.
Copyright & Usage
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
- Ira Hearshen retains composer/orchestrator credit on all works.
- Clients receive the right to perform
